Definition & Booking Terms for Basic Rooms at Namaste Gokarna Hotels

Basic Rooms Terms & Conditions

Overview

Basic rooms are our offering which were built with rudimentary facilities, many monsoons ago.

  • Cottages/Rooms can be very basic and rustic
  • Cottages may have gaps between the tiled roof and the walls. In some cases, the walls have taken in some water as well in the extreme monsoons.
  • The guest is advised to be aware that the basic room(s) that you might be booking is one that no arm of the Namaste Hospitality makes any assurances or guarantees as to the state of the room(s) in any manner.
  • Basic Cottages, as other rooms and cottages are susceptible to ants, mosquitoes, lizards, insects, etc., as there would be in a place that is located in amongst forested locations. We do conduct organic and non-chemical pest control, but the recurrance is incredibly rapid, and within a day or two. We are not responsible for the presence of any, or all of the above.

Basic Rooms Agreement that the guest will be presumed to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions is as below before making a booking.

The guest while booking, and all guests who will stay in the booked accommodation during the booked period, expressly agree that the guest, on behalf of all the guests, are fully aware of the submissions below, and agree in full, as a prerequisite to booking basic rooms:

Section 1 – Age, Condition, Location

You have selected the room being fully aware of the probability of its age, condition (including, but not limited to, style, wall material, construction, wall condition, paint, odour, roofing, sealing etc.), location, and all other factors that may affect the experience of the stay. You are fully informed, and accept, that you cannot lay any claims to refunds/compensation for any such matters.

You are aware that you are not to understand, presume and expect any standardised traits, conditions, attributes or characteristics based on any picture(s) depicted on this website, or any other, as a visual, and that all such material is purely for a very broad overview, but not in any way, a benchmark or expectation of any standard.

The room(s) that are marked as basic are rented based on your agreement that the benchmark accuracy, thoroughness or quality of the information is only your knowledge of the accommodation, and the owners, management, staff, affiliates, of Namaste Cafe, Namaste Sanjeevini, Samudra Beach Front, Rudraksh Retreat, Namaste Nirvana, Namaste Aranya, Namaste Moksha, Omkara Retreat, Bilva Retreat or any other hotel/branch of Namaste Gokarna are in no way responsible for anything that one might consider deficient service, errors or omissions.

By proceeding to make a purchase, you declare that the owners, management, staff, affiliates, of Namaste Cafe, Namaste Sanjeevini, Samudra Beach Front, Rudraksh Retreat, Namaste Nirvana, Namaste Aranya, Namaste Moksha, Omkara Retreat or any other branch of Namaste Gokarna has not misrepresented, mis-sold or wrongly marketed in any manner, on any platform and you are making this decision to book the room(s) solely on your understanding and judgement.

Section 2 – As is basis of accommodation

Any booking of the basic rooms is an acceptance of the room on an as is basis and your reservation of the same is contingent upon your acceptance of the room and its current state in all aspects.

Section 3 – Reviews and Opinions

While we welcome all direct feedback for improving our services, Any review on the agreed topics that you may seek to post on any forum shall be in contravention to your acceptance with full knowledge of the booking and you allow us to publish this agreement that I have accepted in advance of the booking, as a rebuttal.

Section 4 – Room Swap & Modifications

You will not be asking for any changes to the room or swapping of the room or any other request that seeks to change the booking in any way.

Section 5 – Liabilities

Owners, management, staff, person(s), affiliate(s), or entity(ies) associated with Namaste Cafe, Namaste Sanjeevini, Samudra Beach Front, Rudraksh Retreat, Namaste Nirvana, Namaste Aranya, Namaste Moksha, Omkara Retreat or any other branch of Namaste Gokarna, are not responsible for any claims or representations made by you, and/or anyone else that you are booking for, or your legal advisors, or your representatives in any capacity

Section 6 – Business Solicitation

No listing from the Basic rooms section on this site has been construed as an offer or solicitation to rent the rooms.

Section 7 – Disclaimer of Warranties; Limitation of Liability

Owners, management, staff, person(s), affiliate(s), or entity(ies) associated with Namaste Cafe, Namaste Sanjeevini, Samudra Beach Front, Rudraksh Retreat, Namaste Nirvana, Namaste Aranya, Namaste Moksha, Omkara Retreat or any other branch of Namaste Gokarna, are not liable for ANY incidental loss associated with making a booking of any rooms at any of our properties.

Section 8 – Changes to Terms of Service

We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions as and when we deem fit

Namaste Cafe

1. Up to five (5) days before arrival: Processing fee deductible from the refund is

      a. Domestic Transactions: of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER
      b. International Transactions: Processing fee of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER + international transaction fee as applicable at cost

2. Five (5) days and less in advance of the date of arrival, no show and cut short stays: 100% of the total reservation amount is deductible, and there will be no refund whatsoever under any circumstances

  • Transfer / swap of bookings between properties is not possible under any circumstances.
  • Date swaps are entirely based on availability, and on payment of ₹590 as rescheduling fee, in addition to payment of the upward tariff difference, if any.
  • Verbal communications are not valid. Exceptions, if any, should be in writing only.
  • Bookings made are entirely your responsibility and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • Extra person not included in the original booking might not be able to be accommodated upon check-in.
  • Extra person will be provided with a mattress on the floor, with bed & bath linen.
  • Only in case of a government declared natural calamity, you can reschedule a booking free of charge in the next 75 days. In case of any price difference for the rescheduled date, the guest agrees to pay the difference.
  • The property has terrain gradients that need to be taken into consideration before making a booking. People with difficulties in specific walking and senior citizens need to make sure that they are able to handle the natural terrain gradients of the property. Samudra Beach Front

1. Up to five (5) days before arrival: Processing fee deductible from the refund is

      a. Domestic Transactions: of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER
      b. International Transactions: Processing fee of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER + international transaction fee as applicable at cost

2. Five (5) days and less in advance of the date of arrival, no show and cut short stays: 100% of the total reservation amount is deductible, and there will be no refund whatsoever under any circumstances

  • Transfer / swap of bookings between properties is not possible under any circumstances.
  • Date swaps are entirely based on availability, and on payment of ₹590 as rescheduling fee, in addition to payment of the upward tariff difference, if any.
  • Verbal communications are not valid. Exceptions, if any, should be in writing only.
  • Bookings made are entirely your responsibility and cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • Extra person not included in the original booking might not be able to be accommodated upon check-in.
  • Extra person will be provided with a mattress on the floor, with bed & bath linen.
  • Only in case of a government declared natural calamity, you can reschedule a booking free of charge in the next 75 days. In case of any price difference for the rescheduled date, the guest agrees to pay the difference.
  • Access to the property involves a walk of about 220 metres that need to be taken into consideration before making a booking. Kindly read the property FAQs on https://namastegokarna.com/faq.php before making a decision. People with difficulties in walking and senior citizens need to make sure that they are able to handle the walk to the property along agricultural fields.
  • There is no dedicated parking to the property, and the cards will have to be parked roadside

Rudraksh Retreat

  • The property is 150 metres from the road and does not have road access. It involves a walk through the agricultural fields to get to the property.
  • There is a no dedicated parking for the property. All parking is on the roadside.

1. Up to five (5) days before arrival: Processing fee deductible from the refund is

      a. Domestic Transactions: of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER
      b. International Transactions: Processing fee of ₹590+₹118 = ₹708 OR 4% of total transaction value, WHICHEVER IS HIGHER + international transaction fee as applicable at cost

2. Five (5) days and less in advance of the date of arrival, no show and cut short stays: 100% of the total reservation amount is deductible, and there will be no refund whatsoever under any circumstances
